Description of the flag

According to the Thai Ministry of Interior in 2000, the flag of Cha Choeng Sao province is red with a representation of the former provincial seal. The former seal shows a pavilion on a waterfront. The current seal of the province shows Wat Sothonwararam, the temple that houses the Luangpho Phuttha Sothon, a revered statue of the Buddha.
(Description from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seals_of_The_Provinces_of_Thailand)

Even if a new seal was adopted in 2007, it looks like the flag stills bears the former seal. The provincial website shows the newer seal and the red flag with the pre-2007 seal in the flash slideshow on the top of the website. (see http://www.sotorn.chachoengsao.go.th). Same situation here: http://www.khon8rew.com/other_pages/touristinfo/about_cco.html. According to this website, the color red of the flag stands for the struggle and the victory of King Naresuan in the Ayutthaya period.
