 “The Marine Corps War College (MCWAR) is the senior school of the Marine Corps University, providing Joint Professional Military Education (JPME) to selected United States military officers, civilian Government officials, and international military officers. The College prepares officers for future senior command and staff responsibilities requiring exceptional operational competence, sound military judgment, and strategic thinking. It is located within the Marine Corps University aboard Marine Corps Base Quantico, Virginia.”

The college’s seal is a variation on the US Marine Corps’ eagle, globe, and anchor insignia. Added to the insignia are the words “MARINE CORPS” above and “WAR COLLEGE” below, with a red star on either side of the insignia. The flag features the college’s seal on a plain white background. I’ve seen the flag several times over the past two months in the halls of Marine Corps University, where I’m currently pursuing my own Master’s degree.
