I do not believe Boulder has a flag. However, this local news article says
that there was a proposal for one which won a contest held by resident Ron
Campbell and was published in the Boulder Daily Camera on November 18, 1987.
Frank Giggs, the father-in-law of a Daily Camera employee, claims to have
submitted the design. When confronted with the proposal at the time, the mayor
was skeptical about it. This design is a green-white-green horizontal triband.
Within a ring outlined in green, the Flatirons are depicted in green. The white
stripe reads "BOULDER" in green.
In 2014, cities were asked to bring a
city flag to the Sister Cities Conference in July. The council authorized the
Sister Cities Committee to come up with a flag for the city, even just for use
at the conference. However, it appears no flag has been adopted.
