The seal shows a sun setting over a lake, particularly the Crab Orchard Lake. Overlying the lake is a white banner with red outlines, bearing the established date, March 8, 1837. The second object shows the Cartersville entrance sign, which includes a American flag. The third depicts the bust of Laban Carter, the namesake of the city.
