The flag

In this photograph, Mayor Judy Sheets receives a City of Frankfort flag designed by 7th grader Redman Porter.

Redman Porter spends most of his time in Frankfort or Cartersville, Georgia. He always had a love for flags and logos. In 2020, he started designing flags and in February of 2023, he emailed every town he had designed a flag for, and Mayor Judy Sheets responded. “He did such a great job with the design and explained the importance of a city flag and how it represents Frankfort in his email. I can’t wait for everyone to see our flag flying at Prairie Creek Park.”

Meaning & Symbols of the City of Frankfort Flag:
- Light blue represents the Frankfort Lagoons
- Dark blue represents Prairie Creek that runs through downtown Frankfort
- White represents the City’s brightness to the new electric era
- Diamond represents Frankfort’s nickname – Gem City
