The flag is a diagonal bi-color of blue and white. In the center is the first 
part of the township's name. On the white field with the township's 
establishment year. On the blue field is "Town Range 1", which is meant to 
represent the plots of land that would become townships as designated by the 
Public Land Survey System in the early years of American expansion. Poland 
Township was the first of these as part of the "western reserve". which would 
eventually include Mahoning County.
I was sent a photo of the flag by the 
township board.

The seal also contains the town range one, although formatted differently. In 
the center is the Poland Center School, the school that was formally used during 
the township's early years. It is now being used by the Poland Township 
Historical Society.
