The seal is made of a thin blue ring, displaying the town, state names, and the establishment year in the top half. An unofficial motto "JUSTICE * KNOWLEDGE * LIBERTY" is inscribed at the bottom half. Two 6 pointed stars divide the two lines. The centerpiece depicts a scene showing the Mecklenburg County Courthouse, The Boydton Presbyterian Church, and the Randolph-Macon College.
