Pi Kappa Phi was founded at the College of Charleston, South Carolina, in 1904.  Its flag is a vertical triband, blue-white-blue with a gold star in upper hoist, a gold lamp in lower fly, and the Greek letters of the name arranged vertically on the center stripe.

This fraternity has a variant, featuring the same color structure, but with the letters being dark blue instead of black, as seen  
here.
