Pumpout flags

The Pumpout flag is encountered at

"Orange flag indicates marina pumpout services.
Have you ever been out and away from your marina and in dire of need of a pumpout? No problem, just look for one of the orange flags with the national pumpout logo. These flags have been distributed to all marinas on all the inland water bodies as well as the coastal marinas. These flags should raise awareness as to which marinas offer the pumpout services. Many pumpout facilities are free, but others charge up to a $5.00 fee for the services. Through the Clean Vessel Act program, marinas can receive a 75 percent reimbursement for the approved costs of the pumpout installation or for the installation of floating restrooms."

The little flagoid illustrating this text is clickable and leads to a larger image:
Orange field, showing - within a white cartouche - a schematic rendering of a boat, a full tank, and a arrow connected to said tank showing the way out; all in white, too.

A New York State page gives the location of said pumpout stations plus a photo showing a similar flag or flag-like object showing above logo in black and white, three ecological campaign or organization logos.

In this respect see following photo (seriously enlarged when clicked; much reduced image, just to give an idea, attached as < us_pumpo.jpg> ):

To sum up, of the above only the first quote mentioning flags and one photo showing a fixed pennant, a sort of flagoid, are directly vex-related.
