Hackensack University Medical Center

Hackensack University Medical Center (HUMC) is a non-profit, research and teaching hospital in Bergen County, New Jersey. As far as I've been able to tell, there is no "Hackensack University" separate from the medical center. Unlike most institutions with "University Medical Center" in their names (e.g. University of Virginia Medical Center, Virginia Commonwealth University Medical Center, etc.), HUMC's name does not indicate that it is the medical center associated with "Hackensack University." Instead, as far as I can tell, the name indicates that it is a medical center in Hackensack, New Jersey, with the word "university" denoting it as a teaching hospital. HUMC is, however, affiliated with the New Jersey Medical School of Rutgers University.

The HUMC flag features the hospital's blue and green stylized "H" logo centered on a white field.
