The Flag

Paipai is a nation, ethno-linguistic entity, not a tribe, as in US laws sense. Many of Arizona tribes are part of this nation, as Yavapai, Havasupai and Hualapai. This nation has its flag which was hoisted this summer (2019) during the meeting of Paipai tribes in Arizona.

You will notice that the name on the flag you found is "PA IPAI".
At least initially, this was not a collective name but only that of the "Akwa'ala" of Mexico. But that may have changed. quotes them as speaking a different language from the Havasupai, Hualapai or Yavasupai. Nevertheless, they all belong to the Yuma family, like the proper Dieguenos (hence San Diego) who call themselves "Ipai", cousins of the Tipais and Kumiai.
