ⴰⵛⵏⵢⴰⵍ
Based on the word usage in the
Standard Moroccan
Berber test Wikipedia (hosted provisionally at the Wikimedia Incubator),
we know about this word. It has a few articles written in
Latin letters
while most in Neo-Tifinagh,
in its official orthography. The word in question is different from
Kabylian and identical to
Central Atlas Tamazight, based in the same
Latin etym as English
"ensign" or
Catalan "senyera".

Most
pages of the test Standard Moroccan Berber Wikipedia use the spelling
"ⴰⵛⵏⵢⴰⵍ", in Tifinagh, while
one page
uses its Berber Latin alphabet equivalent
"acnyal"; however
two
other
pages use instead "acenyal", which is
"ⴰⵛⴻⵏⵢⴰⵍ"
in Tifinagh. I’d ascribe it to be a simple, meaningless typo, but
"e"/"ⴻ" in Berber languages
is often an “optional” schwa, not a full-fledged vowel, and
all four variants of the word (with and without "e"/"ⴻ",
in Latin and Tifinagh letters) yield meaningful results in a web images
search (see table).
