In the Deliberative Council of Nueva Esperanza, Pellegrini
department, a special and historic ordinary session was held, since the creation
of the Flag that will identify and represent the city in the Northwest of
Santiago was unanimously approved .
"This representative flag is intended
to provide a community with an emblem that represents its history, geography,
work, culture and idiosyncrasy, thereby strengthening its cultural identity and
contributing to the provincial and national historical process ," the
councillors said.
“May this symbol fly proudly in our sky, alongside the
flag of the Nation and the Province ,” they said.
The idea started in
2017, the draft version and the sketch were made in 2021, but the flag was
finally approved in 2024.
