The yellow cogwheel in sinister center represents commerce and industry that exist or will exist in the municipality.

The anchor and sea-horse that harmoniously enlace the scroll gules dexter and sinister of the shield allude to fables and stories built along the history of brave people, who offered their sweat and sacrifice to the creation of a new community, powerful and expected to reach first rank among those forming the state and the country.
The scroll gules with the toponym "9-12 Balneário Gaivota 1995" sable represents constitutive power and protection.
