The flag of Germasogeia (photo) is white with the municipal emblem in the center.
The emblem features the bridge built over Germasogeia Dam (photo, photo).

Germasogeia Dam was built in 1968, 4km from the coats, on land owned by Germasogeia, Akrounda and Finikaria. The dam takes its water from river Amatha; covering 110 ha, the man-made lake can store 13.5 million m3 of water, mostly dedicated to crop irrigation. The lake soon became a station for migratory birds and a leisure place e for people from Limassol.
In summer 2008, an extended drought period caused the nearly total exhaustion of the lake water. Very few fish could survive and the ecosystem was also close to suppression.
The bridge was built in 2006 to secure the Akrounda-Germasogeia road, which was threatened by landslides. The building of the 111m-long bridge was completed in 2008.
