Zell Coat of Arms

Shield Argent three embattled chevrons Gules, issuant from base a triplemount Vert.
Meaning:
The triplemount is symbolising the location between the mountains Mantelberg, Geißberg and Zellmüller Berg. The embattled chevrons are taken from the family arms of the Hofer of Lobenstein kin, who made Lobenstein Castle its seat in the 14tn century. The castle was destroyed during the 30-Years-War (1618 – 1648). The remains are still a popular place of excursions.
