Geroldsgrün Coat of Arms

Shield parted per fess, above Argent a demi-eagle issuant Gules, beneath Vert an ore hammer Or.
Meaning:
The eagle is a differentiation of the arms of the Margraves of Brandenburg-Bayreuth, who ruled the village until 1791. The ore hammer is referring to local mining, as there had been two ore hammers and a smelter in the village since the 17th century. The green (German: grün) colour is canting.
