Simmelsdorf Coat of Arms

Shield parted per pale; at dexter Or a demi-eagle Sable couped per pale; at sinister parted per fess, above Or a negro's head Sable with earring Or, beneath bendy of five of Argent and Sable, chief parted per pale of Gules and Azure charged with a fess Argent.
Meaning:
The eagle is taken from the lesser arms of the Free Imperial City of Nürnberg, which ruled parts of the current municipality. The head and the bendy partition are taken from the arms of the patrician Tucher kin, who had been manorial lords of Simmelsdorf since 1598. The kin even today owns large estates in the municipality. The chief displays the family arms of the Lords of Lochner, who lived in Hüttenbach village in the 15th century.
