Description

Vertically striped flag red-green-yellow-green-red, proportions 6+1+4+1+6. Centred on each of the red stripes, a white Maltese cross of diameter 1/4 of the flag's height. [apparently to implying the Maltese cross is inscribed within an imaginary circle with that diameter.] Ratio 2:3.

Colours from the arms. The green and yellow stripes represent the broom plant (ginesta), a canting charge on the arms, and the Maltese crosses remember the jurisdiction of the Hospitaller Order. Flag adopted 7th June 1999. Source for image and text: Fluvià 2001.
