Gotești is a commune in Cantemir District, Moldova. It is composed of two villages, Constantinești and Gotești.

Flag

The flag is a dark blue with two diagonally stems of corn crossed with a sun in splendour in the hoist quarter and a white moon in the fly quarter.

The commune of Gotești (4,088 inhabitants in 2014) is composed of the villages of Gotești (seat) and Constantinești.

The territorial symbols of the commune of Gotești are prescribed by Decree No. 378 signed on 15 March 2022 by the President of the Republic and published on 18 March 2022 in the official gazette of the Republic of Moldova.

Article 1.
The territorial symbols of the commune of Gotești, district of Cantemir, approved by Decision No. O1/01-XXVII issued on 11 January 2022 by the Communal Council of Gotești, shall be registered in the General Armorial of the Republic of Moldova:
a) coat of arms and flag of the commune of Gotești (Appendices No. 1 and 2);
b) coat of arms and flag of the village of Gotești, commune of Gotești (Appendices No. 3 and 4);
c) coat of arms and flag of the village of Constantinești, commune of Gotești (Appendices No. 5 and 6);

Appendix No. 1
Coat of arms of the commune of Gotești, district of Cantemir
Azure, two reeds (Phragmites australis) or crossed in saltire cantoned in chief by a Latin cross of the same dexter by a sun of the same and sinister by a crescent argent the two faced.
The shield surmounted by a communal rural crown.

Appendix No. 2
Flag of the commune of Gotești, district of Cantemir
The flag is a square blue cloth, charged in the center with two yellow reeds crossed in saltire, cantoned on the left by a sun of the same color and on the right by a white inverted crescent, the two faced.

Village of Constantinești

Quartered by a brown centred cross, the upper hoist and lower fly quarters dark blue, the remaining two quarters white with bunch of grapes in the upper fly and a bunch of three plums(?) in the lower hoist.

Argent a pale azure charged with a Latin cross or surrounded dexter by a sprig of plums sinister by a bunch of grapes the two azure leaved vert.
The shield surmounted by a village crown argent.

Appendix No. 6
Flag of the village of Constantinești, commune of Gotești, district of Cantemir
The flag is a square cloth, bright blue and white, with a yellow cross (1/9 h) in the center, charged in the second quarter with a bunch of blue grapes with a green leaf and in the third quarter with a sprig with blue plums and green leaves.

Village of Gotești

The flag uses the elements of the flag of the commune (dark blue with two diagonally stems of corn crossed with a sun in splendour in the hoist quarter and a white moon in the fly quarter) and with a bird, wings outspread in the upper quarter and a white wolf sitting in the lower quarter.
