Blazon: I blått en innbøyd sølv spiss som ender i et kløverblad. In English: Per chevron embowed azure and argent point ending in trefoil.

The blue part stands for the sea and its numerous bays around the coast. The white promontories also represent Amborneset - location of the king Sverre Sigurdssons last sea battle of 8 June 1198. The design also symbolizes new growth.
