Description of the flag

The flag was presented on 29 October 1910 but the draft was replaced by the the current national flag on 29 November 1910. It was a red-green vertical bicolour with a yellow globe in the centre, having red longitudes and latitudes. The globe is superimposed by a French shield, displaying a shield white with five blue quinas having a red bordure displaying seven golden (= yellow) castles, realized as towers. The globe is topped by a yellow 5-point star pointing to the globe (i.e. to the bottom).
