It is a fairly typical Portuguese communal flag, with the coat of arms centred on a plain blue field .

The arms are Or in orle nine goblets Azure, in centre a helmet Sable crested Gules. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case letters "ANTANHOL".
Meaning:
The helmet is type of a Roman legionnaire's helmet and is perhaps alluding to the Roman city of Conimbriga.

Antanhol was one of the 31 pre-2013 communes of Coimbra Municipality (q.v.); it had 2556 inhabitants in 2011 and covered 10,49 km².

The arms are Or a pine tree vert fruited Gules flanked by two branches of cotton Vert blossomed Argent, in central chief a 5-point star Azure. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case letters "ASSAFARGE".
