Description of the flag

The Georgia Cherokee Nation is one of the three bands in Georgia, USA. However, there is no further information about it in Internet. The flag and the seal are shown on their website: http://www.georgiacherokeenation.com/.

While they are one of three State-recognized tribes in Georgia, only two claim Cherokee heritage - the Georgia Eastern Cherokee, and Cherokee of Georgia. The third is the Lower Muskogee Creek. See http://www.legis.ga.gov/legis/2005_06/fulltext/hb1109.htm. By the way, Georgia's recognition of these groups, and their legitimacy as bono fide Indian tribes, was disputed by the federally-recognized Eastern Cherokee; for example see http://nativenet.uthscsa.edu/archive/nl/9411/0230.html and http://www.senate.gov/~scia/2000hrgs/s611_0524/jones.pdf.
